Description

The 145mm isotherm is polyester insulation. It is used in homes, schools, factories and warehouses all over South Africa. One of the main features of the product is that it’s non-allergic. The high price per roll is actually worth it, considering the monthly savings on your electricity bills. Save up to 30% on heating and cooling bills in residential and commercial buildings.

145mm Isotherm Price – Including Installation

We recommend getting it professionally installed. There are many things that could go wrong in the roof when attempting a DIY installation. Additionally, wiring in older houses can make installations very tricky.

On average, 145mm isotherm price per m2 is installed between R95m2 and R120m2.

Additionally, installers have to determine the difficulty of the installation. A standard roof with a high pitch and space to stand and work in, will get a cheaper price per m2, as the installation will be a lot quicker. Furthermore, more difficult installations with lots of wiring and low pitched roofs will get a higher installation price.

Insulating a Flat Roof

You can insulate a flat tiled roof or flat corrugated roof. We can lift the metal sheeting or the tiles and install the insulation. Once complete we close up the roof. Doing it this way will increase the cost of the installation.

It takes much longer and requires a bigger team. Another thing to consider is the cavity space in the flat roof section. Some flat roofs require a thinner thickness to prevent material compression. Compressing the material is good for sound but not great for thermal insulation.

What Is The 145mm Isotherm R-value?

When checking the thermal capabilities of an insulation product, the higher the R-value, the better the thermal performance of the insulation. As a matter of fact, the higher isotherm cost per roll achieves an excellent R-value. The 145mm isotherm R-value is 3.37 (product only) and an R-value of 3.7 (including roofing materials).
