What are some of the advantages of isotherm ceiling insulation in South Africa? Why has this product become so popular with homeowners and installers? That’s actually a very easy question to answer. It a green roof insulation product that is allergy free.

Isotherm – Green Recycled Polyester

advantages of isotherm insulationIsotherm insulation is a green recycled polyester made in South Africa by a company called Brits. They took plastic PET bottles and used them to make a green recycled polyester product. Let’s go over some of the advantages of isotherm ceiling insulation, and why so many people are hiring insulation specialists to install it nowadays.

It is a chemical free product

One of the reasons it has gained so much traction is because the product does not contain any chemicals. Cellulose fibre is a well-known product that contains chemicals. Both isotherm and cellulose fibre hold around the same R-value. So why not use the product that is chemical free?

It is a fibreglass free product

Another very popular product would be aerolite insulation. It has been around for over 75 years already. It has become a household name over the years. The only disadvantage to aerolite is that it is made of fibreglass. Being made of fibreglass does give it a higher fire rating though. Installing it will make you very itchy. Isotherm holds the same R-value as aerolite. So why not use the product that is fibreglass and allergy free?
